Crystal Meth Abuse is on the Rise in New Jersey

Facing Crystal Meth Charges in Monmouth County?

Crystal Meth, which is a stimulant that creates extreme alertness and a unique euphoria has been popping up more and more in New Jersey over the last few years. The Asbury Park Press has reported that local DEA agents have announced that meth seizures have seen more than a 58 fold increase. To further put that into prospective, Drug Enforcement Administration’s Northeast Regional Labs has reported that they tested more than 257 kilograms of meth seized out of New Jersey in 2017 as compared to the 4.4 kilograms they tested in 2015. It is believed that the increase of crystal meth in New Jersey is directly related to the Sinaloa Cartel and their ability to set their roots within the State. The DEA has indicated that the purity of crystal meth seized in New Jersey has reached as high as 99% which they believe is directly related to the super labs of the Sinaloa Cartel as opposed to local meth-labs in the United States.
