Hightstown is a small little borough that is located in the southeast section of Mercer County, New Jersey. The borough is actually completely surrounded by East Windsor township. Even though the borough is only 1.2 square miles, it does have two of the county’s busiest roadways cutting right through it, Route 130 and Route 33. These two major roadways significantly contribute to the more than 2,500 traffic violations issued in Hightstown last year, 46 of those violations being DWI’s. According to the 2010 Census, it has a population of just under 6,000 but has more than 2,000 households.
