Two Brothers Accussed of Sexual Assault

Sexual Assault Charges Filed in Monmouth County

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has announced that they have arrested and charged two brothers from Asbury Park with among other things, sexual assault stemming from an incident that dates back to the end of April. According to the information that has been released at this point in time, the younger of the two brothers is alleged to have picked up four juveniles who were apparently walking in and around Millstone Township and offered to give them a ride. He initially took them to a QuickChek convenience store in Manalapan before bringing the juveniles back to his older brothers apartment in Asbury Park. Although the specifics are not clear, it is alleged that once back at the apartment the two brothers, ages 21 and 28, provided the four juveniles with marijuana, alcohol and ecstasy. It was shortly thereafter that three of the juveniles allege that the brothers sexual assault them.

The juveniles eventually left the apartment and  following a missing persons report, all four of the juveniles were located in Asbury Park and in Neptune Township. The two brothers were apprehended on May 3rd and charged with the following offenses, kidnappingsexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Both brothers were taken to the Monmouth County Jail awaiting their detentions hearings. During their detention hearings the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office will be seeking to convince a Judge that they must be detained in the county jail, without bail, pending trial. These are all extremely serious charges and if convicted could not only subject the brothers to decades in prison but will also force them to register under Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life.
