The Trenton Police department was initially called to the 100 Block of Eisenhower Ave on a report of a suspicious women carrying brandishing a weapon. When the police arrived on scene they were met by the first victim. She reported that she was sitting in her vehicle when an unknown women approached her vehicle and began kicking it. When she got out the vehicle to confront the suspect, she pulled out a knife and attempted to assault her with the knife. After a brief struggle, the suspect then fled the scene.Based on that information the officers began canvasing the area looking for the suspect. They eventually found the suspect on the 200 block of Coolidage Ave. When they found the suspect she was being restrained by another women, who alleged that the suspect was breaking the windows on her house for some unknown reason. \u00a0The suspect was quickly apprehended by the officers and she was taken into custody. The Defendant will most likely be charged with one count of\u00a0aggravated assault, one count of\u00a0aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of criminal mischief, one count of unlawful possession of a weapon\u00a0and one count of\u00a0possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. It is unclear at this point in time whether the prosecution has filed for a Detention Hearing. If they have, they will be seeking to detain the Defendant in the Mercer County jail, without bail, pending trial. In order to do so, the prosecution must establish by clear and convincing evidence that the in order to protect society, assure the Defendant\u2019s appearance in court and\/or prevent the Defendant from obstructing the prosecution of their case that the must be detained without bail.
